About

—Hello

My name is Kenzo Yusiantoro. I am a graphic designer graduated from University of Bina Nusantara, Faculty of Multimedia & Communication, Visual Communication Design majors in Jakarta.
Objectively, I am both an Indonesia and Japan citizen, as well as being an amateur speaker of the the Japanese language who carries a growing interest in the culture. Subjectively, as a young designer I am interested in how the visual aesthetic of a design fuses with the emergent principles of interaction, to act as a conduit for the user and the medium.

in addition to graphic design, I also like photography, and basically tend to have an interest in portrait & landscape documentary photography.
What you see here is not only an online portfolio, serving as a window into my current design processes, but it is also an intimate collection of design-based excerpts by me, or found from around the web.

—Nice to Meet you, & Feel free to contact me, Cheers!

"Your time is limited. Don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drowned your own inner voice. And, most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become."

~ Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

"I said, to be a New Yorker you have to live here for six months, and if at the end of the six months you find you walk faster, talk faster, think faster, you’re a New Yorker."

~ Ed Koch

This book is a story that tells about the natural phenomenon in Indonesia, namely the pure life that could not be separated from the natural law of cycles.

Merapi is one of the most active mountain in the world. Magma eruption, ashes rain, & volcanic ashes as known as “wedhus gembelare some of the entrails of volcanic material that is in the Merapi.

Merapi is a story that shows things in the world about the balance of natureAmong others are the livelihoods of citizens who became the source of life and the surrounding slopes of Merapi.

Positivity (+) and negativity (-) are always in the story of human life as an equilibrium value. Besides the fertile land of plenty would be overwhelming, there are also stories of death.

Through the book Merapi: Keseimbangan Hidup & Mati” (which means Merapi: Balance of Life & Death”), the tragedy of Merapi disaster in 2010 to post-eruption was perpetuated through the medium of photographic-journalism.
